Saw a write up in the Express regarding a spice that helps with liver disease and alcohol consumption. Apparently this wonderful spice is Turmeric. I know it’s a wonderful spice, great with a lot of health benefits. I am wondering why they have to describe it as trendy though? Does a spice have to be fashionable to be of any use?
I see they write up about it being good to treat alcohol related liver disease. That’s great if you drink a lot. Of course another way to treat alcohol related liver disease is to manage you alcohol intake (I dare say). Of course, I have been there in my younger days with the refusal to see excessive drinking as a real problem, so I can understand when many people do not see alcohol as a real danger. Especially if they drink excessively on the odd occasion.
Anyway, now I cannot tell if this post is about excessive drinking, spices, or a bit of both.
Here are the links to the story in the Express, and some information on Turmeric.
